A Night Out In Austin
On February 15th, Team AK embarked on the thrilling adventure of experiencing one of Austin's finest dining establishments, Bess Bistro! We were met with brilliant service, unbelievable food, and the best of company. Our server, Tim, was what I often like to refer to as a muffin doodle lover head. We charmed him, he charmed us. It was ridiculously cute. And then he sent me into a chocolate coma as he bought us desert and I ate it all. Sorry about that, Baba. Allison's decadent truffle sauce concoction was a match to my salmon salad, and the wine held it's own! Everything about the Bistro was charming and I'm not just saying that because I have a small obsession with Sandra Bullock. It truly felt like a French bistro...sexy, classy, quaint, relaxing, cultural, sweet. We found ourselves paging through antique books scattered across shelves, both secretly looking (I'm sure of it) for a copy of 'The Great Gatsby.' Even though Sandy stood us up, it was a fabulous night and an even more fabulous weekend all around. "Finished?" ;)

Kelsey's First Marathon
Sunday, February 14, 2010Kelsey competed in the 2010 Austin Marathon and FINISHED!!!!! She started the race bright and early at 7 a.m. on Valentine's Day. It only took her 4 hours and 40 minutes... with a few slightly-more-than-awkward short pitstops along the way. She did A.W.E.S.O.M.E. and I am so proud of her! I know her family and friends all are too! I am assuming her next marathon will be sometime next month... I know she can't wait to devour another 26.2 miles. I will be manning the water stations once again. Go get 'em, Kels!
